Kadee Sweeney arrived in Hollywood in 2001 launching her career as a professional dancer. Her passion for dance led her to working with celebrity artists including Nick & Drew Lachey (98 degrees Revelation Tour), Carmen Electra (Starsky & Hutch), Jennifer Garner (Thirteen Going on Thirty), Cedric the Entertainer (Cedric the Entertainer Presents), The Rock (The Rundown), and Wayne Brady (ABC 50th Anniversary). Kadee has also been featured in commercials for Pepsi & represented reputable brands such as Maybelline, Maxim Magazine, Merle Norman, Bellagio, & Treasure Island. Kadee Sweeney has appeared on Fit TV, and videos including, Mark Blanchard's Progressive Power Yoga, Winsor Pilates, Gunner Peterson's "Core Secrets", & Crunch Bikini Bodies.
In 2008 Kadee graduated from the Pilates Sports Center - Teacher Training where she received her Pilates Method Alliance (PMA) Certification as a Pilates Instructor. Her Pilates practice & teaching is a combination of her experience & passion for the dance & fitness industries. Kadee's vision is to empower & encourage others with a blessed life of health & fitness in mind, body & spirit. I fell in love with teaching because I was thrilled about the combination of cardio fitness & dance. Zumba has a "no partner needed" appeal that's attractive to fitness & dance enthusiasts of all ages. Latin music is the core of Zumba, but I incorporate elements of various forms of dance. My classes attract a lot of mature active women, but what I love is you'll see college & high school students with their moms, business class professionals alongside the artsy hippies, & the beginners next to the professional dancers, all of us dancing, rejoicing, working out, groovin together, & having tons of fun! My playlist includes high energy pop music, hip hop, latin beats, oldies, disco classics, & even ballads for our cool downs. My classes are very sassy & even sexy! It's about building confidence. The following are a few classic equipment methods used to meet the specific & personal needs of each client:
REFORMER:
The reformer is a piece of resistance exercise equipment designed by Joseph Pilates. It consists of a platform that moves back and forth along a carriage. Resistance is provided by the exerciser's body weight and by springs attached to the carriage and platform.
CADILLAC:
Also called 'The Rack' or 'Trapeze Table,' this popular piece of equipment is one of the most effective and versatile of all Pilates apparatus. It comprises a raised, horizontal table top with a four-post frame to which are affixed a variety of bars, straps, springs, and levers.
MAT:
The Pilates mat exercises enhance postural alignment, coordination, strength and flexibility. Joseph Pilates created his mat method as a means of overcoming his many physical limitations. His program helped transform his muscles, alignment and coordination and turned him into a highly athletic individual. He decided to call his method "Contrology," indicating the controlled manner in which the exercises should be executed. This is a key feature of all Pilates exercise.
WUNDA CHAIR:
Designed to stretch and strengthen muscle groups like the back and deep abdominal muscles, the Wunda Chair utilizes both the large and small muscle groups. Exercises done using the Wunda Chair also promote balance and body control.
SPRING BOARDS:
The spring board is a Pilates wall unit where you can perform both upper and lower body exercises designed by professional dancer and Pilates instructor Ellie Herman.
LADDER BARREL:
The Pilates Ladder Barrel is used for core strength and flexibility exercises. The barrel combines ladder rungs with a barrel surface, for stretching, strengthening and flexibility exercises.
SPINE CORRECTOR / BARREL:
Designed by Joseph Pilates this "barrel" is used for exercises to correct or restore the spine's natural curve. Exercising on the barrel strengthens abdominal, back, and shoulder muscles to keep the spine flexible. The chest opens, shoulders straighten, and any humpback disappears.
ARC:
The Pilates Arc is a versatile piece of equipment that is three exercise tools in one. It's a classic Spine Corrector, an exercise arc, and a wedge.
BOSU:
The Bosu Balance Trainer, or BOSU ball as it is often called, is a fitness training device, invented in 1999 by David Weck, consisting of an inflated rubber hemisphere attached to a rigid platform. It is also referred to as the "blue half-ball", because it looks like a stability ball cut in half. An acronym that stands for BOth Sides Up, the BOSU is flat on one side, domed on the other and is used in balance training.

* cancellations must be made 24 hours prior to appointment or the session will be charged
* all series expire 6 months from purchase and are NOT transferable, refundable, or interchangable
* all sessions are approx. 50-55 minutes long and begin at the appointment time, not at time of arrival
* SEXYBACK Fitness must be notified of any changes in your health & medical conditions prior to any workouts
* appropriate attire must be worn. (ex. dance pants, bike shorts, or sweats with undergarments and socks)
* clean socks are mandatory to use equipment
